A book inspired by the experiences and insights gained from the Use-It-Wisely project has been published and is now available for purchase and download from the Springer web site. “Dynamics of Long-Life Assets: From Technology Adaptation to Upgrading the Business Model” was edited by Stefan Grösser, Arcadio Reyes-Lecuona and the Use-It-Wisely project coordinator Göran Granholm.
The book is about adapting to change, how things are connected, how time and resources matter and how they change when you see them differently. It’s about technology. It’s about creative thinking, innovation and change. Change that is needed and essential. It’s a book to dip into. It’s a book to read. It is for workers, managers, directors, teachers and trainers, policy influencers and makers.
This is a book that should be read by those working in industry and services, big and small, and by policy makers. It should be read by those who believe they can make a difference. This is a book packed with the experiences of people who did exactly that. Across manufacturing, utilities and services they came together in an EU funded Project called Use it Wisely (UIW). For three years they worked to make a difference and they did. You can read their story in their words.
