Carr Communications is one of Ireland’s leading providers of dissemination, communications, exploitation, training and consultancy with over 30 full time and contract employees. The company is structured into five core areas; Public Relations and Dissemination, Management & Business Training, Exploitation, Digital Media, and Careers & Human Resources.

Carr Communications currently provides dissemination and exploitation consultancy to a large number of private and public sector clients across Europe. Carr Communications works extensively in large communication contracts requiring strategy and policy dissemination to targeted audiences and the wider population.

Carr Communications is also involved in the development of strategic management, communications and exploitation plans for a number of industrial, environmental, Government and public sector clients as well as the provision of training, consultancy and exploitation support needed to implement those plans.

The team at Carr Communications has extensive experience, understanding and qualifications in user requirements analysis, environmental protection, safety, and risk management from an operational perspective. The team has been involved in a number of national and EU projects including FP7 ManuVAR – Manual Work Support Throughout System Lifecycle by Exploiting Virtual and Augmented Reality.

Through their work on the project Carr Communications expect to increase their capabilities in core areas of their service offerings. In addition they anticipate that participation in the project will enable them to increase their number of clients and associated revenue from a number of business sectors in Ireland, the UK and the rest of the EU.

Carr Communications was one of the first Public Relations Consultancies in Ireland to hold the Consultancy Management Standard Accreditation. That accreditation is based on an independent assessment of every aspect of the account and information management systems of the company. In addition Carr Communications is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Note from the Use-It-Wisely Project Coordinator: It’s Showtime!

As Use-It-Wisely is in its final year, the project coordinator Göran Granholm took the time to write a short note on where he sees the project going during its final year. Find out what he had to say below.

Following over two years of intense research and development, the project is now in its final stage. It is time to bring to light the excellent outcomes of the six industrial clusters which span turbines, spacecrafts, office furniture, trucks, vessels and rock crushing machinery research. This will be achieved through a series of live demonstrations and dissemination events carried out both locally on the factory floors of different organisations across Europe, and collectively through joint dissemination events.
